My Makeup Evolution Over The Years

Makeup has been a firm part of my life since I hit my teenage years, and something I have enjoyed using to create new looks through my adult life. With the likes of Facebook bringing up daily memories of posts through the years, it made me not only cringe, but also laugh at how I used to apply makeup when I was younger. Up until the age of 18, makeup was banned in my parents house. They preferred me to focus on my education, whilst keeping my skin clean and clear. Back then, I knew this rule annoyed the hell out of me. Literally every other girl at school was either wearing foundation, rocking some eyeliner or slicking their lips with lip gloss. Whilst I stood out like a sore thumb, the nerdy glasses (which were certainly not on trend back when I was in school!), clean skin (i.e. no…

The Love Bug : Marc Jacobs Dot

Marc Jacobs can never quite get it wrong when it comes to the packaging of their perfume. Whether it be Daisy, Dot, or even my most coveted perfume of theirs Decadence. Each of their perfume bottles and scents are just one of those that you want to keep on your dressing table, even if they are empty. I touched on the Marc Jacobs Dot fragrance in a previous post about my summer scent, Guilty by Gucci. I am just forever in awe with the perfume bottle, and how it stands out in the shelves of any perfume aisle. The bottle is a play on the perfume name, and is adorably shaped to represent a lady bird – the glass is a shocking bright red, with large polka dots as you would find on the body of a lady bird.

Summer Scents – Guilty by Gucci

I always love popping into perfume shops and seeing what new scents have hit the season. I especially love admiring perfume bottles from different designers I’m someone who is a complete sucker for a beautifully shaped perfume bottle. Just take the Marc Jacobs perfumes, for example, they look absolutely stunning – especially dot, which is an adorable little bottle representing a lady bird. Guilty by Gucci, women’s fragrance, certainly doesn’t let down when it comes to a stunning, yet glamorous perfume bottle. With sharp gold casing, and the atypical Gucci branding etched into the perfume bottle it is essentially a perfect gift for yourself, or for that glam somebody in your life.

Lush : Mask Of Magnaminty

You’ll note that Lush is a brand that has been highly trended within The Life Of Vanisha recently. On a recent shopping trip, I stocked up on all my favourites, and even have a wish list already made up for my next trip. A new product was quickly placed within my shopping basket, on my last trip to Lush in Oxford Street – that being the Mask Of Magnaminty. A lettuce green, multi-purpose mask used to exfoliate and clear the skin. Usually when I purchase masks from Lush, it’s the face masks I go for. Let’s face it, we’re all instantly drawn to the display of ice cubes, and open tubs of face masks with their natural ingredients surrounding them. When I heard that Lush did a mask for, not just your face, but also the body, I was instantly drawn as Lush face masks have never let me down.

Lush Don’t Look At Me Face Mask

I’ve previously tried Lush face masks, and have been thoroughly impressed by the feeling and effects it has had on my skin. This time round I decided to go for the Lush Don’t Look At Me face mask – a gorgeous, zingy, bright blue rejuvenating face mask. The Lush Don’t Look At Me face mask is a thick rich texture, which, like the other Lush face masks has an exfoliating effect to it when rubbed against the skin. As with other Lush face masks, a little goes a long way with Don’t Look At Me, so a generous layer of the mask on your face leaves enough for another 4 uses.
