Restaurant Review – Dishoom

Indian food is one of my favourite types of cuisine to have. Whether this be eating out or having home cooked food with my family. There are just so many diverse flavours and spices incorporated into this type of cuisine. It’s also the range of foods that I have grown up loving, and being Indian myself it is something that I am comfortable ordering when I’m out at a restaurant. As with any type of cuisine though, it’s always an eye-opener (or taste bud!) when you try your much-loved dishes from different restaurants, and Dishoom is somewhere that has always been highly recommended to me by fans of Indian food. Referred to simply as a Bombay Cafe, Dishoom restaurants have popped up in the heart of London at some of the easiest locations to get to. Having heard so much about Dishoom, I decided it was finally time for me…

Restaurant Review – Miller & Carter Steakhouse

Miller & Carter Steakhouse is something special, it has been a place that Ankit and I have visited on several occasions and a place we reserve simply for celebrations. With the New Year just passing, I decided that ringing in 2016 was going to be a quiet one. Not because I had left it too late to make any plans, but because I really just wanted to spend quality time with loved ones. To me, and this might just be because I’m getting to that stage in life, but New Years Eve is kind of over-rated, not to mention expensive. In my mind, there was no better place to have a quiet meal to celebrate the New Year than Miller & Carter Steakhouse.

Gilgamesh London | Restaurant Review

If you follow me on Twitter you would have seen that I was out celebrating on Saturday Evening because of results that I had received, for working towards a professional qualification. Completely different to that of blogging though, that’s a different side of my life. To celebrate on Saturday, Ankit (my fiancé) and I went to Gilgamesh London a top restaurant in the heart of Camden, London that offers a unique selection of exotic signature Pan-Asian dishes. Gilgamesh use China, Japan and South East Asia as inspiration for many of their dishes. Booking our table in the private dining area, we were in an amazing restaurant that boasted an impressive 40ft high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, which creates the most perfect ambience for dining. Gilgamesh London is an award-winning internationally famous restaurant that has been around in Camden for around 9 years now. It’s one that I’ve always walked…

Cookbook | Scones For Afternoon Tea

Every so often I love getting myself in the kitchen and getting my bake on. I used to love watching Delia Smith and Mary Berry baking their all time favourite recipes. There’s something about baking that is just so peaceful. Baking can be a perfect excuse to have a sit down afternoon tea, whilst basking in the sun. There are so many hotels at the moment offering Afternoon Tea packages, but why not bake your own treats and bring Afternoon Tea home? Try out this fault-less recipe for the classic British scone, which is perfect alongside clotted cream and strawberry jam. These are best split open with lots of jam and cream in the middle. Try out this scone recipe -just re-heat these or eat straight after baking for the just baked taste.

Kobe Japanese| Steak House & Sushi Bar

If you’re a foodie like me, and ever find yourself roaming International Drive in Orlando, Florida, then I have a recommendation for a restaurant that should be at the top of your list of places to dine! Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is far from your standard Japanese restaurant you may visit every few weeks. It is somewhere you just have to visit, and should be somewhere on your bucket list. It’s a restaurant that can either be reserved for anniversaries or birthdays, or one that you can dine at for a casual mid-week meal, or a relaxed weekend out. Bringing together a mix of fruity, ice cold cocktails, and fresh ingredients for classic Japanese food with a twist, is the selling point of Kobe. And the visitor experience they deliver, is one that will certainly make your holiday. That, together with the ambiance of a hip and chilled restaurant, there’s nothing better…
