InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask

Instanatural dead sea mud mask

The InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask* is one of those products that you can only dream about when trying to have a pamper night. With the New Year fast approaching and many of us planning big nights out or parties, there’s only a few things on our minds. Amongst that looking our best can be up there as a top priority. The InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask comes in a generous 19oz large tub, and can be used as an invigorating face mask for when you need a little pick me up on your skin. Currently priced at £21.95, you really cannot go wrong with the face mask compared to other masks on the market.

The InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask is made from 100% pure dead sea mud. Let me be honest with you, at first, I didn’t have any idea what dead sea mud was. I just thought it was something fancy that was adding to face masks for marketing purposes. It was only when I read into the benefits of dead sea mud, and felt it working on my skin, that I knew how great it was and how I needed to use it on a regular basis. Now, dead sea mud, is a blend of salts and minerals – in particular magnesium, potassium and calcium, and it known for it’s healing benefits. It can provide relaxation to the muscles, reduction of pores and wrinkles, and is especially beneficial for those who suffer from dry skin. Although, it can be used on all skin types.

I was really excited to try out the dead sea mud mask. I tend to schedule in a pamper session at home every Sunday, where I do my nails, put on a face mask and take time out for myself for an hour or so – yes I also chop up slices of cucumber and place these over my eye-lids. Honestly, this makes so much of a difference on a Sunday, just before a working week as it leaves you so refreshed and ready for the next working week. Although the InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask, is just that, a face mask, it can also be applied to areas of the body, such as your arms, stomach, and legs as a body wrap. I preferred to keep this reserved just as a face mask, as this is the area of my body that I have the most problems with in terms of my skin.

With this face mask it’s best to apply a thin layer over your skin to get the best results. The face mask, as you can see from the pictures, is a dark brown/grey colour – almost like it’s name, though it is a mud mask after all. Just remember to pull your hair back as much as you can away from your face, and tie it up. The last thing you want is to have face mask in your hair! The consistency of the face mask isn’t the easiest to work with, so it was difficult to get one even layer across my face. It’s almost jelly-like, not a smooth cream like mud mask that you may be used to. Instead of using my fingers to apply this to my face, I used an old make up brush – a flat foundation brush, which helped slightly to get an even layer.

There wasn’t a smell to the InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask which I was actually quite disappointed at, considering the number of ingredients that are blended into the mask – Organic Shea Butter, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Calendula Oil, and Hickory Bark Extract. It would have been nice to have the Shea Butter come through slightly within the scent, as this is a smell I really do like. Usually with other face masks, it’s the smell as well as the benefits that entice me to buy it.

There isn’t a tingling sensation at all when using the InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask. You need to leave the mask on for about ten minutes, and it will change slightly in colour to a lighter grey – it will also harden so it makes it difficult to have any sort of facial reactions. Though you can sort of feel the face-mask working, if that makes sense. After 10 minutes, you can wash the mask off. Use warm water, not hot water or cold, and massage the water in a circular motion around your face to help wash the mask off. It isn’t messy at all, and there isn’t any left over residue – really, when it’s washed off it reforms back into it’s original state as a liquid.

After using the mask, I rubbed in my Aveeno moisturiser, which is a must have for a skin savior. My face was left clear and refreshed, there was no red-ness or tender skin after using the mask. The InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask is a great mask if you want to detox and purify your skin as the dead sea mud work together with it’s minerals to extract oil and dirt from your skin, which may not be removed whilst cleansing.

The InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask can be purchased from Amazon for only £21.95.
