On Monday I was invited to another event held by The Bloggers HangoutThe Bloggers Tea Party. Ever the foodie I am, I was excited to have received my invite to discover new food brands and snacks that were on the market, with their own selective niche. And who doesn’t love a good tea party? The intimate event was held at The Pop Up Patio in Moorgate, where a select number of brands showcased snacks and drinks for sampling.

The brands involved in The Bloggers Tea Party were primarily those that can be found in health food stores such as Whole Foods and Planet Organic  As there is such a focus on being health conscious in modern day, especially for me with starting a new health kick and trying to cut out certain types of foods.

Each food brand that were in the patio had their own theme for their showcased products; I loved how each table included all the natural products that made up the snacks or drinks. It’s always lovely to discover new food brands which incorporate super-foods, and ingredients that have been hailed the new super-food.

Just Bee had samples and a selection of their honey water drinks to try. The cartons of spring water from Just Bee are flavoured either in Blueberry, Lemon and Green Tea or Apple and Ginger, each enriched with one drop of honey. These drinks tasted incredibly refreshing, and it tasted really light and wasn’t too sweet at – as you may expect with honey. The brand was inspired by one of the founder’s family being a bee-keeper, and keeping things in the family is something that is obviously close to their heart.

Drink Me Chai Latte was a brand that I held close to my heart, as I am a huge fan of Chai tea and Chai Latte’s. I had actually purchased a few of the Drink Me Chai products before, but it was nice to have a chat with the team from Drink Me Chai about the Chai Latte powders. For those who are not familiar with the brand, the Drink Me Chai Latte powders are instant powders, which you can add to water or milk for a blend of low calorie drinks. If anyone is looking try this drink, I would highly recommend the Vanilla flavour, which events out the mix of spices.

A new brand, and one that I was really looking forward to meeting were Snact, which are packets of fruit jerky – a blend of dried fruit packed with natural flavours. These can be a replacement for your normal mid-morning of afternoon snack, where you would usually grab a few biscuits. They are gluten free and less than 65 calories per bag – so effectively guilt free, and taste amazing. They really remind me of fruit winders!
