Beauty Box | Cohorted September Review

Cohorted box

Cohorted beauty boxes are new on the scene, and is a box that many beauty bloggers are coveting over. The beauty box is an elite box that contains a selection of hand picked premium brands, to add to the luxury theme of the box. An all black sleek box, with a touch of personalisation being in the form of a hand tied ribbon bow tie – the beauty box oozes elegance. Each month being sold out, and not currently a subscription box, everyone needs to get in there quick if they want to get their paws on the beauty box.

I finally managed to get my hands on the September beauty box. The page itself crashed as there were several others trying to get their hands on the box too. So after months of trying to get a Cohorted Beauty Box, here I present, the Cohorted September Review. The beauty box this month costs £19.99 and boasts a box value of £71.50.

Gucci Première Perfumed Shower Gel £7.50 ; I love this smell so much. I own a few Gucci perfumes and can never get enough of the smell of the perfumes, so using the shower gel whilst in the shower is sort of like a treat to me. The shower gel leaves a strong scent to it, whilst nourishing the skin and leaving it smooth.
I really like the gold packaging of this product, especially the shined gold lid.

❤ theBalm Put A Lid On It Eyelid Primer ; I do quite like theBalm products, since buying the Nude Tude Eye-shadow palette, which also made a show within the Cohorted Beauty Box this month. The primer is quick drying so you don’t need to wait for the primer to dry and put your eye-shadow on, so you can do you’re makeup in a rush.
I was really disappointed by the size of the primer within the beauty box, considering the beauty box itself boasts a box value of £71.50. The Primer was the size of my pinky finger, and was 3.7ml. I’m not sure I’ll get much use from this primer, and expected it to be slightly bigger.

Molton Brown Seamoss Bath & Shower Gel £10.00 ; I’m really not a fan of beauty boxes having two shower gels within the box, I personally think there should only be one. I quite like Molton Brown products, like the Rituals products they are very spa-like and add a touch of luxury to bath times. The smell of this shower gel is very earthy, and smells so fresh, which is something you want when showering.
The shower gel has seaweed and horse chestnut extracts within it, and is used to reduce stress and fatigue. I think from the smell of the shower gel this will do the job perfectly. It’s not a strong scent and it’s just enough to keep you calm.

Nars

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Walkyrie £19.00 ; Oh Nars, you’re lip pencils are my favourite products of your brands, and this literally made the box for me. I received a few lip pencils from Sephora as part of my birthday gift, but they were sample sized lip pencils. This lip pencil, however, looks as though it is a full sized product. I love lip pencils that are jumbo in size like crayons, they are so easy to apply and very pigmented with a matte like finish to it.
Although, due to the size of the lip pencil, it does not have a twist like function which I would expect it to have. Instead, you would have to sharpen it to get the next lot of colour out of the lip pencil. The colour is not glossy or sticky like lip gloss; it’s actually fairly smooth and the colour lasts a good few hours without the need for re-application.

Nude tude

❤ theBalm Nude Tude Eyeshadow Palette £35.00 ; this is such a great palette for anyone who just wants one palette with a number of nude base colours for your eyeshadow. I actually already own this palette, but it is one of my favourite ones along with the Makeup Revolution palettes.
I’m posting a full review on this palette in a few weeks, but I would thoroughly recommend this as a palette for everyday use.

For the Cohorted Box, there is only really one product that I am enjoying from this, and I don’t think I’ll be buying the October one until I read a few more months worth of reviews. What do you think of this months Cohorted September box?
