My Current Favourites by Beauty Bay

Makeup has always been something that I’ve taken an interest in. With new products hitting the shelves every week, and my favourite brands finding new ways to keep on trend. It’s no secret that Makeup Revolution has always been a hit brand for me.

However, buying makeup nowadays is also about ease of availability. I work full time and it’s not always easy for me to go shopping and grab my favourite products. Whilst reading other beauty blogs, I’ve heard so much about Beauty Bay, but never really taken a dive into their website.

Those who have bought from Beauty Bay know that they are THE place to buy exclusive collaborations such as the Jeffree Starr line. The super pigmented, blend-able formulas are often sold out.

What better way to introduce Beauty Bay to my blog, than a good old wish list?

BLOOD SUGAR EYESHADOW PALLETTE £52

Sticking to the theme of the Jeffree Starr line and knowing how much I love a good eye shadow palette, it’s no surprise that the Blood Sugar Palette is on my current favourites. I prefer this palette over the Blue Blood palette as these are more in line with the eye shades I’d usually wear.

It’s a fair amount more expensive than my usual Makeup Revolution palettes, retailing at £52, it’s almost 3 times the price of the standard palette, though very much in line with the Naked palette ranges.

One of the main things that stands out to me about this palette is the case that it comes in, it’s not your standard plastic case that you would get with a makeup palette – it’s a faux leather case. Which, again is quite comparable to the Naked palettes as I’ve received some in the past in a velvet-y sort of case.

What I do like about this palette is that you can also see the shades against different skin tones, on the website. So you can see that it’s a universal palette for all skin tones.

There are 18 highlight pigmented colours in total, with a mix of matte, metallic and glitter shades – though I’m not a fan of glitter shades within palettes. They’re a nightmare to take off.

THE MILANI 2 IN 1 FOUNDATION £13.95

The great thing about Beauty Bay is that they also stock brands that you wouldn’t necessarily easily source within the UK.

Such as the Milani foundation – for the life of me I don’t know why they don’t stock this here!

I used this foundation a very long time ago, and bought it when I was last in America. I should have stocked up as this foundation has always been a firm favourite of mine, and I’ve struggled to find a foundation that comes close.

It’s a 2 in 1 foundation – so has concealer within it too – which is much like the Makeup Revolution foundation.

It’s a full coverage foundation, but I didn’t find that it felt heavy on my skin. In comparison to the Makeup Revolution Foundation, the Milani foundation doesn’t oxidise so much.

I found that the colours are true your skin colour, and there is a HUGE range of colours that they do, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find the one that matches your skin tone.

The build-able foundation is perfect for those who want light coverage or a more heavier coverage.

OFRA EVERDAY NUDES LIPSET £15.50

I LOVE a good nude lip colour, most of my lip collection at the moment are nude colours. Which probably means I don’t need yet another nude lip-set.

But how can you turn down these colours? I’ve not heard of this brand before, but having a quick skim through the reviews, it doesn’t seem like the brand disappoints.

Lip-Sets are perfect if you don’t want the initial outlay of buying the colours upfront at a full size price.

This set comes with 4 mini lip colours, which is more than enough to give them a try.

Nude colours are flattering to all outfits, and all occasions, which is why they’re my favourite.

I tend to focus on eye makeup looks too, which is why I want my lip colour to be subtle.

I love the see through packaging of the lip colours – and it always helps to see what colour you are opting for.

These colours are very much like the NYX range, or Kylie cosmetics, whereby they don’t budge, so you can sip as much prosecco as you wish!
