Shower Favourites – Molton Brown Body Wash

Molton Brown Body Wash

Whenever I think of Molton Brown Body Wash gels I always think of luxury. Molton Brown itself is a high end brand, which have expertly been advertised within department stores in exclusive booths. They ooze exotic and rare ingredients, which have been blended together with care and skill. A unisex brand, Molton Brown Body Wash gels aren’t just for us women, they cater for men too – with specialist ranges for both men and women. Being awarded the Leaping Bunny logo, this itself unifies the sophisticate of the brand and solidifies it’s popularity as a brand that has never tested on animals.

I’ve had my eye on treating myself to some Molton Brown Body Wash gels ever since I saw them ever so neatly displayed within John Lewis. Albeit I picked up the Christmas travel set, but it was a great way to test out all the shower gels within the range, whether they be for men or women, in handy travel sized bottles. This itself made it perfect for travelling on-the-go, or within my gym bag after a long work out.

As you know. I am a sucker for any type of packaging, and the Molton Brown Body Wash gels do not disappoint. They remove all the unnecessary logos, and designs on their shower gel bottles. Keeping it sleek and simple, the Molton Brown Body Wash Gel bottles are simply see-through, with the Molton Brown logo on the face of the bottle. It was pretty much instant love when I saw the bottles for the shower gels as the colours for each gel are so beautiful. You have to admit, having these bottles neatly placed on your bathroom counter, in colour co-ordinated order of course, would look great.

The travel set includes 10 30ml bdoy wash gels, which you can get about 7-10 uses out of – a little goes a long way with Molton Brown Body Wash Gels. The set includes an array of fragrances, each very different from the other, so it really just depends on what mood you are in for the fragrances. If you are struggling to know which fragrance to get, here is a list of each scent reviewed:

Orange & Bergamot – this scent was actually part of the Pure Beauty Awards 2014 winners. It’s a revitalising blend of sweet oranges, and has a slight citrus smell to it, so perfect for those warm summer evenings.

Eucalyptus – it’s a perfect body wash for the morning, if you need waking up or need a quick pick me up. It has a very menthol smell to it, which can work wonders if you are feeling slightly congested.

Silver Birch – part of the men’s range, this one smells like the outdoors. It’s a fresh and subtle men’s cologne scent – woody and rich, but not too rich where it gives you a headache.

Templetree – I don’t know whether this is because of the name, but this just reminds me of going to the Hindu temple. It smells like an infusion of incense sticks. What I did find with this scent though, was that it lasted much longer than the others, and it wasn’t an overpowering scent all day.

Water Mint – a great body wash for those who have active lifestyles as like Eucalyptus it can be used a a perfect pick me up. The smell itself, being slightly minty, will give you a great boost in the morning. It’s quite a masculine scent, and is part of the men’s range.

Coco & Sandlewood – such a beautiful coconut smell! I absolutely love anything that smells like coconut. Just like the benefits of coconut oil, this body wash can help restore tired and dry skin. Using this body wash will melt you away to the sandy beaches of the Caribbean.

Ylang-Ylang – a slight musky smell to this body wash, used to relax after a long day at work. Perfect if you need some me time, and to relieve tired-ness. This is great if you had a stressful day and just need some TLC.

Gingerlily – this doesn’t smell as gingery as I thought it would – which is actually a good thing. It has subtle hints of ginger oil, however, also has notes of cedar-wood. It’s an invigorating smell that will just put you in a great mood.

Black Peppercorn – if I’m completely honest, this was the worst scent of them all for me. It’s a strong pepper smell, which I’m not a fan of. It’s part of the men’s range, and I think it’s very much a smell that you either love or hate. Unfortunately for me, it’s the latter.

Pink Pepperpod – I L-O-V-E this smell!! It’s a very girly smell, but not too over the top. A great scent if you are prepping for a night out, or having a pamper night in. It’s a deep fragrance, that smells very similar to Thierry Mulger Angel.

Have you tried any of the Molton Brown Body Wash range?
