TLOV | Be Classy and Fabulous # 1

The Life Of Vanisha

There are literally hundreds of blogs at the moment that are purely just for all things beauty. Which, don’t get me wrong is great. I regularly pop into blog’s to find out what beauty products are up and coming, or for reviews before I buy anything. But, I’ve always wanted my blog to be something more than just beauty reviews. It’s what I like to call my little piece of the internet. Somewhere I can put down a collection of my thoughts in one place that I can call mine. Without the need for others to bash at my comments, but instead to provide constructive input. Here at The Life Of Vanisha I’ve decided to start a category of blog posts, that are my own, known simply as TLOV (the first letters of my blog name!) A place for me to express my thoughts on topics which don’t fall into the “typical beauty blogger” category. And this edition, the topic is simply “Be Classy and Fabulous“.

I’m fairly certain everyone knows of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. I mean, how could anyone not, they are literally all over the news, gossip magazines, and now even magazines such as Vogue have plastered them onto their cover. They are known for putting their name to absolutely anything, with the driving force being non other than momager Kris Jenner, or Kadashian, whatever she goes by nowadays. Who in my opinion would do absolutely anything to make money from her children.

Now I personally think Kendall Jenner is absolutely gorgeous. I love the fact that she looks nothing her Kardashian siblings, and seems to be more Jenner than Kardashian. Good on her for making to where she has as an ambassador and model for the likes of Givenchy and Dolce & Gabbana. But this, to me, is just prime example number 1 of how Kris Jenner has over-exposed her children just to happily keep up her materialistic lifestyle. There have been so many examples recently of exactly this, not even from the media, trying to make something of nothing, but on Kendall’s Instagram page itself with her posting wearing next to nothing, or just plain topless. Bare in mind, she is only 19.

Then you also have Kylie Jenner, who has always been made out of the eccentric one. Her hair a different colour almost every few weeks, and trying to distance herself from the “we must be brunette” Kardashian’s. Kylie herself is only 17, but you really wouldn’t think that when you look at her Instagram or Twitter posts, where she poses in a copy-cat style to her older sisters in a hope to have some limelight.

There has been such craze about her plumped up lips, and the vast media frenzy she created about whether she had work done, or not. This itself stemmed the #KylieChallenge, where her followers attempted to perfect their pouts just like their idol, with some people being left looking more swollen than pouting like a wannabe model.

It makes you wonder exactly who is the driving force behind both Kendall and Kylie growing up too quickly? Is it the fact that they have a momager behind their backs seeking out every opportunity she can, at the expense of her children’s childhood. Or is it, simply that they have grown up with camera’s in their faces all their lives, and don’t know any different?

Celebrities like Kylie and Kendall should be focused on utilising the following that they do have. By all means, go model and follow the career you want, but also recognise that you have young fans that are going to try and follow your every footstep, and copy exactly what you do. And fans who do idolise them, hold your head up high and keep your standards up there with you. Be your own person, but always be classy.

Remember that you are fabulous as yourself, not as a copy-cat celebrity. What are your thoughts on this ever growing trend of celebrity kidults?
